Dr. Nichole Schiro was born and raised in Okemos, Michigan. Her father, an oral surgeon, inspired her to pursue a career in dentistry. Her passion for orthodontics became evident at a young age and has since fueled her dedication to the field.
She has dedicated over a decade to intensive education and training, honing her skills and shaping herself into the esteemed orthodontist she is today. Dr. Schiro’s unwavering commitment and relentless pursuit of excellence serve as a testament to her professional journey.
Step One: College
Dr. Schiro attended Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland, where she excelled both academically and athletically. As a Division I soccer player, she earned a spot on the Academic All-American Team, a prestigious honor given to only eleven players nationwide.
Her experience balancing sports and studies honed her time-management skills and dedication, traits she continually applies in her professional life.
Step Two: Dental School
Pursuing her dental education at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, Dr. Schiro earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Here, she had the unique opportunity to treat patients with Invisalign®, which sparked her interest in orthodontics.
Graduating at the top of her class and being inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society further solidified her commitment to excellence.
Step Three: Orthodontic Residency
Dr. Schiro then advanced her training at the University of Louisville, where she obtained her Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry (MS). Her dedication to her specialty was underscored by achieving Board Certification in Orthodontics, demonstrating her commitment to providing the highest standard of care.
Outside of the Office
Now based in Colorado, Dr. Schiro is passionate about creating lasting, positive impacts on her patients and the wider community. When she’s not perfecting smiles, Dr. Schiro enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants, and engaging in outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, biking, and running.
