Upon your arrival at Highlands Ranch Orthodontics, please notify our receptionist. We look forward to welcoming you to our office.
Clinical Examination
We will conduct a thorough clinical orthodontic examination and explain all aspects of treatment.
Purpose of the Initial Examination
During your first visit, our goals are to answer key questions:
- What problem is present, if any?
- When is the best time to begin treatment?
- What type of treatment is recommended?
- How long will treatment take?
- What are the expected costs?
Next Steps
If orthodontic treatment is necessary, we’ll schedule an appointment for Diagnostic Records. If time permits, we can take these records during your initial visit.
Diagnostic Records
These include:
- Study models of your teeth.
- Intraoral and extraoral photographs.
- 3D radiograph with an airway analysis.
- Our doctors will evaluate these records to plan your treatment.
Cost of Treatment
Treatment costs vary depending on the severity of your case. During your initial exam, our treatment coordinator will discuss fees, payment options, and insurance details to make orthodontics affordable.
Included in Your Investment
Your investment covers:
- Orthodontic records, including x-rays and study models, to tailor your treatment plan.
- Active treatment fees for braces or Invisalign® encompass appliances, office visits, and procedures performed in the office. Appliances are durable; any replacements due to loss or damage may incur additional fees.
- One set of final retainers for comprehensive treatment patients. Additional retainers have a replacement fee if lost or damaged.
What Doesn’t My Investment Include?
- Work performed at other dental offices outside our orthodontic practice.
- If an accident or injury occurs during treatment resulting in TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) complications, additional orthodontics, orthognathic surgery, etc., a fee adjustment may be necessary to complete treatment under these unusual circumstances.
Assignment of Benefits
We accept benefit assignments for most insurance plans, substantially lowering the family’s out-of-pocket expenses. If your plan doesn’t allow assignment, we’ll assist with claim filing for direct reimbursement. Please inform us promptly of any changes to your policy affecting insurance benefits.

We aim to see you promptly for your appointment. Please arrive on time to ensure smooth scheduling throughout the day. Our office and the patients seen after your appointment greatly appreciate your cooperation and consideration with appointments.
